Johnson-Boria Creative infuses the spark of creativity to help individuals and organizations share their work with the world.

"Tatiana is an incredible teacher [...] She always gave space for dialogue and honored each individual’s presence and relationship to their work. She was so encouraging and I felt like I learned a lot and became more confident as a writer in her class.”

Your Creative Coach

I bring a genuine curiosity to creative work. I help other creatives foster their own sense of inquiry to trust their craft while helping them pursue their goals.

Fostering Inspiration

My favorite part of teaching is crafting learning programs to help others grow. I have experience teaching across all ages and levels and offer a tailored approach to the writing experience.

An Intersectional Approach

I am always learning as an instructor yet the core of my teaching philosophy is the centering of marginalized voices and experiences. All of my creative offerings focus on belonging, inclusion, and diversity of voice and thought.

Hi, I’m Tatiana

I'm the author of the forthcoming book Nocturne in Joy (2023). I'm an educator and expert facilitator who uses her writing practice to dismantle racism, reckon with trauma, and to cultivate healing. I'm an award-winning writer who’s received distinguished fellowships from Tin House, The Massachusetts Cultural Council, The MacDowell Residency, and others.

I'm the founder of Johnson-Boria Creative, where I use the power of creativity and coaching to help individuals and visionary organizations balance big ideas and execution, to manifest their creative dreams.

I have over 8 years of experience instructing and coaching writers and creatives to reach their goals. I believe in uplifting the creative potential of all, especially those most often marginalized in our society.

I completed my MFA in Creative Writing at Emerson College and teaches at Emerson College, GrubStreet, Catapult, and others.

Find my work in or forthcoming at Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, Pleiades, among others. I'm represented by Lauren Scovel at Laura Gross Literary.
